f0.95 Lenses - Canon and Leica


Wow, I didn’t know these existed, but they do!

Canon supposedly made f0.95 lenses in the 60’s and Leica has one too:

(at 10k a pop and ISO 25k I couldn’t care less - - - - although that Bokeh must be SWEET!!!  Drool….

    I ask myself if these lenses are really so usable. Wide open their depth of field is tiny. So you have to stop down the aperture anyway to get a usable photo. Therefore the ƒ .95 only help to focus where with 1.4 or so, you can’t. Is this worth the extra bucks?
