Allthow Canon and Sony have same resolutions, I don't think a pro photographer will change its system just because of the 21Mpx. I think for the serious studio photographer who has allready a 12Mpx Nikon camera this is the opertunity to get a higher resolution camera without changing its system. And by the way, the nikon system is far cheaper and faster than a hassi in terms of fps. I do not think it will be a completly flop. I think you are right...... I just bought D3 for several month I won't buy D3x actually...... $7999 is too expensive...... but you say sony A900, I think it's a bad DSLR......
